What is Amazon Prime Music?

We all know Amazon Prime and we know some of the advantages we can get with subscribing to this program from Amazon: the giant of marketplaces.

One of the advantages that we can enjoy is Amazon Prime Music, a music service that includes a catalog of more than 2 million songs selected for you. You will listen to the latest and most current music without limits, from any device, jumping from song to song as many times as you want, manually or leaving it in the hands of a smart speaker such as Alexa.

With Amazon Prime Music you can forget about advertising between songs, (which can be a hassle). In addition, it allows you the option to download your favorite songs to be able to listen to them without the need for mobile data or wifi.

To use Amazon Prime Music, you won’t have to pay for any additional services, as your annual or monthly Amazon Prime subscription will be enough.

Enjoy your music without interruptions (or connection)!

What will I have access to on Amazon Prime Music?

From Amazon Prime Music you will have access to thousands of playlists and stations selected by our music experts so that you have what best suits your tastes and preferences, this includes the latest releases from your favorite artists.

  • A playlist is a compilation of random songs that can be already determined by the platform itself or created by you from 0.
  • A radio station is an “endless” playlist of different songs that reference topics about different musical genres or artists.

Where can I enjoy Amazon Prime Music from?

Enjoy music wherever and whenever you want with Amazon Prime Music. You can listen to music from any device: smartphone, tablet, PC/Mac and Fire TV.

Keep in mind that all devices you use to listen to music from Amazon Prime Music require authorization from your Amazon account. You can have up to 10 devices assigned to your account, and don’t forget to deauthorize an account if you want to add any more devices.

How do I listen to music offline?

With Amazon Prime Music, you can listen to your favorite music offline on your device. To do this, you just have to tap the option that indicates “Download” within the song, playlist, station or album of your choice.

When the download is finished, head to the “My Music” tab to start listening to your music without an internet connection.

How do I use Alexa?

Using the smart speaker, you can follow a series of voice controls to ask Alexa for the music you want at any time. You may already be familiar with some commands, but if not, here are some examples:

  • “Alexa, play classical music.”
  • “Alexa, play upbeat music.”
  • “Alexa, put on some music to sleep.”
  • “Alexa, play recent music.”
  • “Alexa, play music from the ’80s.”
  • “Alexa, turn up the volume.”
  • “Alexa, turn down the volume.”
  • “Alexa, repeat this song.”
  • “Alexa, stop.”
  • “Alexa, go on.”

These voice commands work in multiple variations, so it’s not necessary to issue the exact phrases.

Is Amazon Prime Music the same as Amazon Music Unlimited?

Although it may create confusion, Amazon Music Unlimited is not the same as Amazon Prime Music. It is a premium subscription music service that has a catalog of more than 50 million songs. Enjoy hundreds of playlists and stations curated by our music experts.

The difference between the Amazon Prime Music service is the additional payment: to obtain this service we must make a payment of €9.99 per month or €99 per year (the latter mode is equivalent to 2 months of savings on the subscription).

And finally, if you are not subscribed to Amazon Prime you can still have this exclusive service for €9.99 per month, accessing it only for a monthly fee.
