Set up «holiday mode» on Amazon

  • Use FBM and FBA logistics to ensure that your products never run out of stock
  • Know the steps to follow to activate «Holiday Mode» on your account

The summer months are probably the most eagerly awaited and anticipated months of the year. However, if you’re a seller on Amazon or any other online selling platform, you may find yourself at the crossroads of not knowing what to do: disconnect completely or keep your account active.

At Nozama Solutions, we tell you what you can do to avoid having to stop your business’ commercial activity on the platform at any time.

Activate «holiday» mode

One of the main problems you may face as an Amazon seller during the holiday period is related to the quality of customer service. By this we mean delays in the delivery of products, cancellation of orders or failure to answer customer queries.

For this reason, it’s essential for you to activate «holiday» mode on your account, which will make all your listings appear as «inactive». This way, your products will disappear from the detail page and from the search results. It’s advisable to do this two to three days before you leave.

To activate this mode, simply go to «Settings» in your account and then click on «Account information». Then click on «Seller account information», in the «Listing status» section and «Are you planning to go on holiday? Finally, choose one of two options: one to disable all products on all sites and one to disable them only on certain websites, and click on «Save».

Using Amazon FBA to keep selling

If you’re a seller using FBA logistics, we recommend you to make a shipping plan and have a stock of products also from Amazon Warehouses. This way, your goods can continue to be sold when you are away.

Thanks to this, you’ll be able to take advantage of all the benefits offered by this programme, as Amazon will take complete charge of the logistics management, including returns, customer service, shipping of the products, among others. Also, your products will be «categorised» as «Prime» which will give them greater visibility.

In summer, sales do not stop. Users take advantage of the promotions and discounts offered bye-commerce to buy essential items for this time of year. Therefore, in order to maintain or increase the sales of your business, we recommend you to use a hybrid system that combines the FBM and FBA programmes so that you don’t run out of stock at any time.
